Supporting children born without eyes or with underdeveloped eyes

If you and your family are in need of a break, then why not take advantage of your MACS membership by booking a holiday or short break in one of our three holiday homes? Located in some of the most beautiful parts of England, our caravans will give you and your family the perfect opportunity to relax and unwind in Spring, Summer or Autumn. 

You can even visit our Dorset caravan up until the beginning of January. How about some bracing Winter sea air?

All of our caravans are equipped with disability access and adaptations including sliding doors, wheelchair access, disabled toilet and shower/wet room, ceiling hoists in main bedroom (excluding Dorset) and a talking microwave. Please note that cots and high chairs are not provided.

Caravans sleep up to 7 people in 2 x bedrooms with twin beds (the Dorset caravan is the only one with a double bed in the main bedroom); 1 double pull out in the lounge area; and 1 single folding bed.

Caravans are available to MACS members at subsidised rates from March until the end of October (Cornwall and the Lakes) or the beginning of January (Dorset only).

Sandhills Holiday Village, Dorset

Our caravan is located in the Sandhills resort on the Dorset coast. The resort has views over both the picturesque Christchurch harbour and the English channel towards the Isle of Wight and just a promenade separates Sandhills from the beach. Only a short walk away are the boat launching and mooring facilities of Mudeford Quay.

You can relax on the beach, take a leisurely stroll along the promenade or go crabbing and buy some fresh fish in the harbour. You can also venture into historic Christchurch or travel along the coast to Bournemouth.

Onsite facilities include heated open air swimming and paddling pools (open until the end of September), an adventure playground and a clubhouse set in the historic grade II listed main building. There is also a small private gymnasium and laundrette.

Lakeland Leisure Park, Cumbria

Our caravan is sited within the Lakeland Holiday Park. The park is perched in between two of the country’s best loved natural features, the Lake District National Park and Morecambe Bay. Our guests access to some stunning coastal paths on the edge of the park and England’s largest lakes and tallest mountains - the famous Lake Windermere is just a 30 minute drive away.

Onsite facilities include a Live Lounge with entertainment for the whole family to enjoy along with a sports field, tennis court, crazy golf, 9-hole par 36 golf course, family pitch & putt and a bowling green. There are kids' clubs for all ages and if you’re interested in learning a new skill, archery and fencing coaching sessions are also available. The Mash and Barrel bar and restaurant has a great choice of food everyone will enjoy.

Mullion, Cornwall

Mullion is a lively park and ideal base to explore Cornwall's Lizard Peninsula with Blue Flag beaches and hidden coves.Situated in an Area of Outstanding Beauty, Mullion is the largest village on the Lizard Peninsula and ideally placed to enjoy the stunning coastline.

The park offers a large number of onsite play and sporting facilities including:

  • Heated indoor and outdoor swimming and paddling pools
  • Adventure playground, soft play area and lending library
  • Sun terrace and table tennis
  • Wildlife nature trail
  • Nine hole crazy golf
  • Multi sports court and grassed football pitch
  • Scuba diving lessons.

The site has a bar with big screen TVs, a takeaway, the Kynance Bar & Grill for a wide selection of hot meals, a shop, launderette and off licence.
