Our vision
Our vision is that people in the UK with MACS conditions and their families are empowered to thrive and confidently lead fulfilling lives.
That’s why we work hard to ensure that all of our services are accessible to anyone affected by a MACS condition, regardless of their impairments, ethnicity, beliefs, sexuality, gender reassignment status, marital/civil partnership status and maternity status. We are aware that amongst our members, there are a wide range of other conditions. These can include learning difficulties, physical impairments, sensory impairments, mental health difficulties and long term health conditions, and we work to ensure our services for accessible for anyone with additional needs. We also make sure that people can access our services even if they can’t afford to pay for it. If there’s any reason that you’re struggling to access our services, please contact enquiries@macs.org.uk. If you need us and you’re affected by a MACS condition, we’re here for you.
Our mission
Our mission is to foster a vibrant, connected, and supportive community that is dedicated to empowering individuals and families with MACS conditions, helping them reach their full potential.
Our values
Our values are collaborative, friendly over formal, and aspirational.
Collaborative means we recognise the staffing team, Board of Trustees, and membership as a community; working with our members, not for them. We will ask for and listen to members’ input, design our services with this in mind, and nurture a synergistic community with a shared vision.
Friendly over formal reflects a preference for an informal and approachable atmosphere. We create a culture where interactions are warm, authentic, personable, and friendly, while remaining professional.
Aspirational embodies our desire to achieve excellence, push boundaries, and continuously strive for improvement. We foster a mindset of growth, innovation, and welcoming challenging objectives that go beyond the status quo.
