Counselling Support
We are ready to launch the next stage of our mental wellbeing offering. We understand that it can often be difficult to ask for help, and the word "counselling" can mean different things to different people.
Meet our counsellor, Sally
Hi I’m Sally and I’m really pleased to be working with MACS. Mental health and wellbeing is my passion and I truly believe that putting the person at the centre of all the support I offer is really important. I have lived experience, being blind myself and am a busy, musical mum of two. I’ve been a counsellor for almost four years now and thrive on helping people improve confidence, decrease anxiety and improve their overall mental wellbeing.
People often have a clear picture of what counselling is, but it can be mostly whatever you need it to be. I’m really excited MACS is able to fund sessions for anyone with a MACS condition aged 16+ and my whole approach is finding the pathway that suits you best.
Everything you tell me is kept confidential within our sessions, MACS only knows who is talking to me, not what about. Confidentiality and client safety is at the heart of everything I do. If I don’t feel my type of counselling is right for you I’m happy to refer to someone better placed to help.
I’m running a session on Zoom, on Thursday 11th June 7-8 PM. If you’d like to find out more about how we can work together to improve mental health, or see if you think I’m the right person please come along. Anyone aged 16+ is welcome, or any parents who’d like the information to pass along. Videos and mics can be kept off if you prefer.
If you’d like to discuss sessions at any point please contact
kim@macs.org.uk and she will pass your details on to me.
I look forward to working with you.
