Game Power
Fundraising through the power of online gaming
Have you got Game Power?
Whether you’ve got Game Power, or you just enjoy gaming, you can turn that skill or passion into funds for MACS! Wherever you stream – Twitch, YouTube, Facebook, Instagram or another site – you can help make a difference to the lives of MACS children through the support of your gaming community.
You’ll get all the perks of being a #TeamMACS member…
- You’ll be invited to be a part of a Facebook community of hundreds of #TeamMACS members, exchanging fundraising tips and experiences
- We’ll send you a T-shirt when you reach your first £100.
- We can create your very own, bespoke promotional video to inform people about your fundraising and encourage support.
- You’ll receive a medal if you reach the £200 target!
- Our fundraising team is available five days a week to offer one-to-one support.
How can you turn that power into pounds for MACS?
It's easy to turn your stream into a fundraiser – you can do it in the four simple steps, which we’ve included below. However, if you have any questions or need more support then please contact the team at fundraising@macs.org.uk
Step one - Assemble a gaming team or go it alone
For multiplayer events, you may want to host a gaming night for you and your friends, requesting donations into your fundraising pot from each person that either spectates or joins in.
Step two - Set a date and goal for your fundraising marathon e.g. £500 target for 24hrs
For multiplayer events, agree a date and goal with all players and decide how the tournament will work e.g. a leader board with a point system or winner stays on. There might be a tournament mode already built into your chosen game.
Step three - Sign up and create your fundraising page via the button below.
Step four - Stream your gaming marathon and get sponsored.
You can ask for a set donation from people who will be logging in to watch. Also, why not add some challenges for extra donations e.g. invert your controls or take on forfeits?
For multiplayer events, you could ask from donations from players to create new rules e.g. a round using only one hand.
Read the handbook
Before signing up, please read the Terms and Conditions in our Game Power Handbook. When you are ready, sign up using the button below!
Do you want to raise funds through gaming in a different way?
If you have another idea not listed in our handbook, we'd love to hear all about it. Please get in touch with one of the team here: fundraising@macs.org.uk
Accessible gaming
Visuals are of course a big part of gaming, but there are lots of accessibility features that can help visually impaired people get involved and enjoy the immersive world of gaming.
