MACS Meet Up – Northern Ireland 2026
In February 2026, MACS members came together for a truly magical weekend at Roe Valley Resort in Limavady, Co. Londonderry.
Over the course of the weekend, 48 members of all ages and abilities joined us to relax, connect, and enjoy quality time as part of our MACS family. From the moment everyone arrived, the atmosphere was full of warmth, laughter, and friendship.. made even more special by a surprise visit from Macs the Monkey!
A weekend to remember
Saturday was bursting with creativity and fun, with activities including slime-making and Build-a-Bear workshops, alongside games, chats, and plenty of laughter. Members shared meals together, swapped stories, and enjoyed the chance to meet other families with shared experiences.
On Sunday, the good times continued with something for everyone! From the helter-skelter, mini 4x4s, balance trampoline, and golf, to swimming, saunas, and exploring the beautiful surrounding country park. We were incredibly lucky with the weather, which made the weekend even more enjoyable.
One member shared:
“Thank you so much for organising this weekend’s event. It was great to meet other families with children of all ages, chatting and sharing experiences. Hopefully we can all meet up more often to build relationships for both adults and children alike.”

We’ve added a small photo gallery to this page so you can see some of the wonderful moments from the weekend from creative sessions to outdoor adventures and everything in between.
Thank you & what’s next
A huge thank you to everyone who joined us, helped make the weekend so special, and contributed to such a positive, welcoming atmosphere. We were also delighted to welcome a new volunteer during the weekend, helping to make future MACS events even more special.
We’re already planning our next Northern Ireland get-together, with a day trip on the cards and we’d love your suggestions for places to visit. If you have ideas or would like to get involved, please get in touch.
